Durga Timber imports, warehouses and delivers all laminate and hardwood flooring products offered on the Durga Timber Europe Ltd website. The average delivery time for an order is 3-4 working days after receipt of cleared payments.
Each customer is responsible for the accuracy and quantity of their own individual orders. Once an order is placed the customer will have up to 12.00 noon to make amendments to the original order. After this time the order is in processing mode and the ability to change the order is not guaranteed and will cause delay.
The flooring orders are packaged and prepared carefully. The flooring itself comes in carton quantities for easy individual lifting. The cartons are individually stacked on a pallet and tightly banded together to the pallet. Corner guards are added to each corner of the shipment and then the shipment is tightly shrink wrapped. The shipment is then re-inspected to ensure correct quantities and styles.
Stress free scheduling
Scheduling contractors or planning installation dates prior to receiving the product is not a suggested practice. Current average nationwide delivery time is 7-10 days, however most shipments arrive earlier but some can arrive later as well. Durga Timber can not be held responsible for missed installation appointments or inconveniences due to earlier than expected or later than expected arrival dates. The best practice when scheduling contractors or planning installation days is to wait until the product arrives on location and then schedule or plan its installation day(s).
Each shipment is insured against freight damage.
Though damages and losses are few and far between, accidents do happen. All goods should be carefully inspected for any shortages and damages against delivery note. Any shortages and damages should be recorded on all copies of the delivery note and must be verified by the driver. Shortages and damages should be reported in writing within 24 hours of delivery. Failure to comply will invalidate all claims.
Here are some simple steps to follow in the event of freight damage shortage and damage.
On delivery day:
Inspect the outside of the cartons for any signs of damage. If the product is damaged the cartons will show distress and be torn.
Ensure you have received the same quantity of cartons as indicated on the delivery note.
Record any shortages and damages on all copies of delivery note .
Sign the delivery note slip and receive both the damaged and undamaged product.
Report all shortages and damages to Durga Timber Europe Ltd in writing within 24 hours of receipt of goods.
We will replace your damaged goods and file a claim for damages with courier. This is only possible, provided you have recorded, signed and forwarded all necessary documents within specified time. Any delay will invalidate claim and liability for replacement of goods will remain with the customer.
Please allow 24 hours for internal processing of credit card refunds.
Please allow 48 hours for processing cheque/money order refunds. Cheque/money orders are refunded only after the funds have cleared our bank.
Amendments, cancellation and return
Amendments to order can only be made prior to 12.00 noon . Cancellation of order is possible prior to collection by courier. Cancellation of order will carry a non negotiable 10% of invoice value or £25.00 which ever is greater. Return of goods will only be accepted by prior arrangements and provided they are returned within 14 days from the date of invoice and in its original packaging and condition. All transportation costs and 25% of invoice value will be deducted from the final invoice. Discontinued and special order items can not be accepted for refund.
